Camping

We offer several camping options: A cabin, bunk houses, tent camping or just sleep under the stars.

Tents
Youth Acres offers several places for you to pitch your tent. Wood fires are permitted as long as they are supervised.

$25/night for up to 3 tents, $5 for each additional tent

(6) Bungalows
We have 6 bungalows that sleep 4 each with a fire-pit in the middle. One cabin is wheelchair accessible. The bunks are wooden; you will need to bring your own padding.

$25 per night per cabin.

‍The Bunkhouse
Youth Acres also offers a bunkhouse. The bunkhouse sleeps 10 and has an electric heater, electric stove, and refrigerator.

The Large Cabin on the Lake
If you don't have a tent or mother nature decided to rain on your campout, then try out the cabin. The cabin sleeps 30 and has a wood burning stove, electric stove, and refrigerator.

Frequently asked question:

Q: If I rent one or more of the physical structures (Bungalows, Bunkhouse or Cabin), do I still need to pay for setting up tents?
A: Yes. Tents are a separate fee, regardless if you have rented one of the physical structures. Example: (1) Bungalow at $25/night +(up to 3) tents at $25/night = $50 total.

Rules and regulations
Please ensure your group strictly adheres to the following list. Failure to follow our rules and regulations will result in immediate removal from the premises and loss of your deposit. Keep Youth Acres safe and enjoyable for everyone!

No firearms or fireworks allowed
No alcohol or illegal drugs allowed
No swimming
No disorderly conduct
No property damage
No hunting
No mini bikes or ATV's
No littering
You are required to follow the Illinois Dept. of Natural Resources boating and fishing regulations while on Canton Lake.
Do not move picnic tables or fire rings
Campfires in the fire ring only. Burn wood, paper and biodegradable materials only. Upon departure, please extinguish your fire completely.
Campers are required to maintain a clean campsite. Trashcans are provided throughout the campground. If your site is left a mess, you will lose your deposit.
Children and minors must be supervised by adults at all times.
Camping is permitted in designated areas only.
You may cut and gather fallen trees. No cutting down trees for firewood.
Pets are welcome, but must be kept on a leash. You must clean up after your pet and deposed of in one of our trash receptacles. Excessive barking will not be tolerated. Do not leave your pets behind when you are away from your campsite.

(2) Kayaks for rental: $25/hour per kayak.
